Moe, Larry and Curly decide to spend the night at a hotel. The desk clerk says the room is $30 a night, so they decide to split the bill 3 ways (each paying $10) and go to their room.
The manager checks the room sales a few hours later and notices the desk clerk made a mistake. Seems the room was on special and Moe, Larry and Curly were only suppose to be charged $25 for the room.
The manager instructs the bellboy to go up to the room and return $5 to Moe, Larry and Curly. On his way up to the room, the bellboy realizes you cannot split $5 evenly amongst 3 people, so he breaks the $5 into singles and gives Moe, Larry and Curly $3 ($1 dollar each) and keeps the other $2 for himself.
The math is as follows:
Moe: $10-$1=$9
Larry:$10-$1=$9
Curly: $10-$1=$9
BellBoy: $2
=================
Total $29
Question is…where is the extra dollar?

No paradox here:
The hotel kept 25$, the bellboy kept 2$, and larry, moe, and curly split a 3$ refund.
25 + 2 + 3 = 30.
Alternatively, Larry, Moe and Curly paid $27. Where did that $27 go? $25 to the hotel, and $2 bo the bellboy.
$3 given back + $2 the bellboy keeps to himself adds up to $5. They ended up paying $27 when they should've been paying $25. No money is missing.
Gosh! I remember my boss setting this poser for me back in 1954!!!!!
Strewth, you're a bit late with it!
